Overview

A 25 patch test target that gathers more information about the camera's exposure characteristics than the previous test target. It consists of two sides: An 18% Gray Card used to custom gray (white) balance digital cameras before profiling; A Profile Target consisting of a central 18% gray patch that is surrounded by 24 patches arranged in 1/6th stop values that are successively brighter and darker. The Exposure Profile Target II offers faster more accurate testing as it requires only three shots to gather a wide range of exposure data from the camera's imaging system. The first shot is made at the normal metered exposure determined by a Sekonic L-858D and L-478 series. The second shot is made at -3EV below the metered exposure and the third shot at +3EV above the metered exposure. The Exposure Profile Target II is fully compatible with the FREE Data Transfer Software and L-858D, L-478 series, L-758DR and L-758 Cine to profile your camera and lens combinations. The result is total exposure accuracy.

Data Transfer Software for MAC

IMPORTANT!

  1. Please see this note for details of DTS operation with OS 11.1 Big Sur.
  2. Customers who already installed DTS version 6.0 or earlier, before installing new version below, completely remove any previous versions and see this instruction and note.
  3. Please see the Software Guide for installation.
  4. Turn off firewalls and anti-virus programs during the installation process.
  5. Compatible with L-858 series, L-478 series and L-758 series.
  6. If you fail installing the latest Data Transfer Software / Utility Software due to Gatekeeper by Apple inc. Please see this instruction.
  7. APFS Restrictions
    Depending on the specification of the APFS file system, file display may not be in alphabetical order. Therefore, when saving multiple images in the same folder, it is difficult to find the necessary image for profile creation.
    Please kindly create a subfolder and manage related images by combining relevant images for each profile.

*1 If you are using a Macintosh computer, be sure to use the Macintosh version of the software. Operation of the Windows version is not guaranteed when running in Virtual PC for the Mac.

Data Transfer Software for WINDOWS

IMPORTANT!

  1. Customers who already installed Data Transfer Software version 5.00, update the software by using "UPDATE" function in Data Transfer Software. However, when updating from version 5.01 with Windows 10, User Account Control may block the updating. In this case, please uninstall the old version 5.01, and install new version 6.10.
  2. Customers who already installed DTS version 3.093 or earlier, before installing new version below, completely remove any previous versions.
  3. Please see the Software Guide for installation.
  4. Turn off firewalls and anti-virus programs during the installation process.
  5. Version 5.10 is newly compatible with L-858 series in addition to L-758 and L-478 series. Version 5.01 or earlier is compatible with only L-758 and L-478 series.
